Standard Line oven example

Standard Line

JPW Industrial Ovens and Furnaces produces a standard line of stock electric-heated ovens, from cabinet to walk-in models with quick turnaround time. We also produce standard electric-heated and gas heated, non-stock sizes that generally have a longer lead-time.

Custom Solutions Line

Our custom solutions line provides a wide range of options for heat processing applications. Some custom solutions can be a modified standard stock or non-stock size, for a reduced lead-time. Other custom solutions are designed to meet customers specifications of internal size, external size, temperature, or any other specific needs in gas or electrically heated ovens.

Custom oven solution example

Our custom line is driven by process, space and unique requirements that sometimes take a standard product out of play. We modify standards to meet some custom applications when possible. The future of the custom products will be affected by the 3D modeling software. The more models we produce and label standard, the more efficient our engineering team becomes. This will allow us to focus on reducing custom project lead times, therefore, helping JPW better serve our customers.

The Future of our Lines

In the future, JPW will be increasing our standard stock ovens by adding new models with expanded temperature ranges as well as some gas heated options. We are also utilizing a 3D-model software to reduce lead-times on all walk-in ovens up to 650°F in electric or gas. We will also include 3D-models for high-temperature units up to 1400°F to help reduce lead-times across our entire line of standard stock and non-stock products.

If you need an industrial oven, please contact JPW. Once the temperature and size are decided, let us help you determine what solution is right for you. Whether you need a model from our stock line or a customized oven, JPW can meet your needs.

New CAD Platform

New CAD Platform Improves Design Process

Shortening production time and lowering costs is essential for any business in the manufacturing industry. Using the right technology is key to achieving both.

After using a two-dimensional computer-aided design (CAD) platform for several years, JPW Ovens and Furnaces decided to take advantage of new technology to help them work smarter on behalf of their clients.

“After researching different options, Autodesk Inventor was the winner,” says Bryan Wack Engineering Manager of JPW.” We were looking to add a CAD platform that offers three-dimensional tools, and that would help accelerate our overall design process. We are very happy with our decision.”

Autodesk Inventor provides an almost complete illustration of what a product will look like before it is built. In addition to design, if offers simulation, visualization, rendering and documentation tools that are taking JPW’s design and virtual modeling process to the next level.

“It is so easy to use,” Wack adds.”You simply type in product information – internal size, duct size, insulation area, for example — and it basically creates a design itself. Autodesk speeds the process of designing an oven, which will help us get custom-manufactured products to clients faster.”

“Recently, we had a client request an oven design that, with our old software, would have easily taken two to three weeks to complete,” Wack says.”Instead, it took us one.”

DB64 – High-Temp, Drop-Bottom Oven

The DB64 is a high-temp drop-bottom oven that operates at 950F and processes materials through aluminum heat treating and aging. This specific oven is designed to treat materials for the aerospace industry.

A quench tank is installed below the oven, under the chamber door. Once heat-treating is complete, the material basket is transferred to the 2000-gallon quench tank below in a span of 7 seconds to cool the aluminum. A heavy duty hoist transfers the product from the quench tank to the aging oven.

The DB64 is engineered to make a complex workflow simple and has a single PLC that controls everything in the heat-treating and aging processes.
