Class 1 Ovens; Division 1 or 2
Class 1 is determined when flammable gases/vapors are or may be present in the air in high enough quantities to produce explosive or ignitable mixtures. Division 1 is when there may be hazardous concentrations of flammable gases or vapors under normal operating conditions. Division 2 is classified when concentrations of flammable gases or vapors are handled in closed containers or systems.
