Oven Construction:
Outside:
Oven to be constructed of heavy gauge carbon steel and painted a slate gray. The face of the oven will be made from 3/16 plate.
Inside:
The inside of the oven will be constructed of Aluminized steel.
Work Chamber(s):
There will be two mold storage areas within the oven. The work chambers will be 12 high. This dimension includes the transfer rollers for the product. The work chamber will hold the molds in a horizontal position. The transfer rollers will have guides from side to side and a stop in the rear.
Circulation System:
An 18 Dia fan and shaft direct driven by a 3/4HP 1725 RPM TEFC motor will produce 1200 cfm of recirculation air. The air pattern will be horizontal from right to left. The air will enter the chamber or work space on the right side (pressure) wall and return on the left side (return) wall. The walls will be louvered for adjustability to achieve uniform temperature in the chamber.
Heating System:
3 - 1500W Incoloy sheathed heating elements will be housed in the plenum to heat the air to desired temperature. The heaters will be controlled by SSRs. The plenum will be mounted on the bottom of the unit to utilize the space under the oven and bring the work chamber height up to a more ergonomical level.
Thermocouples:
The air temperature will be controlled by a Type J thermocouple in the airstream within the work chamber. There will be one thermocouple for control and one for the limit.
Doors:
The unit will have two doors held closed by FM approved slam latches. The doors will open from the top and lay flat parallel to the work chamber. The doors will be fitted with transfer rollers so the product can be rolled out onto the door for ease of handling. The door in the open position will be able to support a 300 lb load.
Control Console:
The control panel for the oven will be on located on the top exterior of the oven in the center. The panel will house the controllers and oven on/off and heat on/off switches, all other electrical components will be mounted underneath the oven.
